DEPARTMENT:

Traffic and Logistics

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Position is responsible for monitoring appropriate supplies, tools and equipment required to successfully complete the packing, shipping, receiving &/or warehouse functions at a level to meet customer requirements. In addition, position is responsible for monitoring and working directly with the associates working in the area. Budget for supplies and personnel for the department can exceed $3M annually.
· Associate will be responsible for documenting processes and developing/issuing reports as needed to
· Support Traffic and Logistics activity
· Professional communication skills, written, in person and on the phone required for daily interactions.
· Associate will assist with import / export logistics and forwarder/carrier determination for shipping.
· Associate is responsible for ensuring all document filing is completed as required by regulations.
· Associate is responsible for ensuring all training within the department is sufficient for developing
· successful T&L associates.

MAIN TASKS:

· Communicate daily with Warehouse, Receiving and Shipping associates on operations.
· Complete daily shipping/receiving / warehousing transactions to support Traffic and Logistics activities.
· Monitor and Communicate regularly all changes/updates to internal processes and procedures.
· Ensure quality compliance to ensure Customer requirements are met.
· Communicate and monitor service times and complete measurement reports.
· Investigate and resolve issues associated with materials movement activities.
· Meet periodically with other departments to discuss policies and procedures.
· Work with domestic carriers to assist T&L Manager meet Transportation objectives.
· Drive department to error Prevention using Impact Quality processes.
· Support and Maintain highly successful Safety Culture.
· Develop personnel for advancement for succession or growth within the corporation

REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
· 2+ years experience in Shipping / Receiving / Warehousing.
· Strong Computer Skills (SAP, Excel, Word, etc)
· Good interpersonal skills.
· Previous supervisory or management experience a plus.
· Ability to speak a second language is preferred.
· Ability to establish deadlines and manage priorities for self and others is critical

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Describe general working conditions (i.e. noise level, temperature, around heavy machinery
Combination of standard office setting and warehouse/shipping/receiving work area will be the norm. Daily activities in the active work areas will be required for training, investigation, demonstration purposes as well as normal completion of orders. Standard safety PPE required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Daily writing and keying required. Daily bending, stooping, lifting and forklift operation required .
