Technologist 1 (Chemical Process Technologies)

Weymouth, Boston area

If you share our determination to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking a Technologist , reporting directly to our Director of Technology to join our Research Center team based in Weymouth, MA .

As a Technologist you will be responsible for the management of technology development programs for the improvement of existing, and development of new, chemical process technologies, with a focus on Energy Transition, Renewable fuels, and Sustainable Chemistries.


Management of chemical process technology development programs. Work activities include:

1. Process evaluation, including modeling and economics

2. Design of experiments

3. Oversight of design, construction, operation, modification, and maintenance of bench and pilot scale chemical process development equipment

4. Chemical and physical analysis of various process streams and samples

5. Evaluation of experimental data and kinetic modeling.

6. Program management that includes planning, scheduling and budgeting

7. Supervision of assigned operational personnel.

8. Provide technical support in area of expertise to other R&D programs.


Motivated, creative, quality focused individual with the ability to manage multiple projects with aggressive timelines. Must be team oriented and have the ability to coordinate a diverse set of resources from within the Weymouth facility, other Technip Energies locations, clients and outside resources.

Requires knowledge of chemical analytical techniques, experimental design, and experimental data analysis.


Ability to work 'hands on' in the pilot plant areas.

Strong analytical and data management skills.

Knowledge of Aspen and/or similar process modeling software.

Knowledge of plant automation systems.


Chemical Engineering BSc/ Masters level (preferred 3-5 years relevant experience), new PhD or current Post Doc.

Catalyst testing or development experience a plus.
