PURPOSE
TechnipFMC Technical Services Department consists of Technical Service Personnel and Degreed Engineers (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Petroleum, etc.) that are hands-on, product-application oriented individuals that function in an onshore and/or offshore work environment.TechnipFMC Technical Servicesâ focus is to provide our customers with detailed engineering, planning and onsite execution of services for installation, intervention, refurbishment and maintenance of TechnipFMC subsea and topsides equipment. Our goal is to provide technical support and services of TechnipFMC products in a safe and timely manner that adheres to quality and reliability requirements which enables our customer success.
Technical Service Personnel prepare, support and troubleshoot the testing, maintenance and repair of TechnipFMC oilfield equipment including, but not limited to: wellheads, risers, tensioners, control systems, subsea processing, trees, manifolds and tie in systems.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
ĂHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred
ĂTypically, 6+ months experience in field service technician role
ĂValid Driverâs license and Passport for travel if required
ĂRequires intermediate knowledge of one or more of the following fields: Electrical; Subsea equipment; Hydraulics equipment; Mechanical equipment and tools
ĂAnalyze trends or deviations from standards
ĂProficient in applicable software applications
ĂAbility to read and understand drawings. Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
ĂAbility to use technical tools and instruments required to perform duties
ĂRequired to interpret job requirements and coordinate equipment needed
ĂStrong written and verbal communication skills in English are important
ĂAbility to receive, interpret, understand, and respond to verbal messages and other cues in a clear and concise manner.
ĂAbility to work in a team-oriented environment is important.
ĂAbility to receive constructive feedback and coaching and respond appropriately.
ĂProficiently communicate ideas and concepts, developing the ability to persuade, influence, and facilitate problem resolution.
ĂEffective understanding and communication within diverse cultural environments is critical
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
ĂIn-depth training for the specific products (To include OJT, shop and classroom)
ĂService Skills Training Class, TechnipFMC Safety Orientation, Petex Drilling Technology, Introduction to Marine Drilling, Subsea Service Skills Training, START safety program, commitment to ethics, sexual harassment, TechnipFMC Wellsite Relations, and Houston Operating Procedures (HOPs).
ĂInstruction on all paperwork requirements (Field Service Orders, expense reports etc.)
ĂStandard OSHA requirements (forklift, Material Safety Data Sheets, etc.), EPA requirements.
ĂCustomer specific training based on project requirements
