Risk Analyst 1

Job Description:

Lead the Risk Analysis function on projects ranging from small consulting and technology projects to very large and complex Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects. Perform probabilistic cost and schedule risk analysis for projects and proposals across the Onshore, Offshore, and Process Technology business units. Participate in risk management workshops and prepare risk registers documenting project risks identified in the workshop. Support value improvement practices (value engineering) workshops. Develop prediction and mapping models using advanced statistical analysis and machine learning to optimize mitigation efforts (in terms of cost and time). Support model development for performing correlation, causality, and pattern analysis. Perform time dependent probabilistic margin and scenario analysis with respect to changing risk profile. Perform multi-variate risk-based decision making and discrete event simulation studies. Develop large scale data analytics models. Perform data-mining and analysis for prediction models.

Must Have Skills

·  Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree
·  Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to operate in multi-task environment and to work independently
·  Ability to make effective presentations to Executives, Joint Venture Partners, and Customers
·  Well organized, detail oriented and able to adjust to changing priorities
·  Superior analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills
·  Experience in quantitative risk analysis, data mining, algorithm development, programming, stochastic modeling, and machine learning
·  Experience with software testing and deployment (local and cloud-based servers)
·  Proficiency in statistical analysis, probability theory, and programming languages such as R, C++, Java, Visual Basic, Python, VBA, and Matlab
·  Proficiency in specific risk analysis software such as @Risk, Crystal Ball, and Acumen Risk
·  Excellent skills in Microsoft Office tools

Nice to Have Skills

·  Advanced Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree
·  Exposure to other project-related software platforms such as Primavera P6, EcoSys, Acumen Fuse, MS Project, and SmartPlant
·  Exposure to Enterprise Resource Planning tools such as SAP and / or Oracle
·  Experience working on large complex Engineering, Procurement, and Construction projects in the oil and gas industry
·  Certification as a risk professional thru AACEi, ECRI, or other professional organization
