Job Title:
Quality Engineer
Job Purpose:
Reporting lines and interactions
Hierarchically reports to:
Quality Manager UK
Operationally reports to:
Project Manager
Directly supervises:
N/A
Key interactions (internally, externally):
Internal: Quality Manager, Project Manager, Quality & HSE Resources, Project Management Team, Supply Chain
External: Clients, Suppliers and Industry Bodies
Job Scope (budget, management, specific criteria):
¡Attendance at Supplier facilities for inspection/surveillance activities as per ITP
¡Conduct criticality assessments and identify surveillance levels
¡Reporting on inspection related activities
¡Authorise release of supplier goods
¡Support of ad-hoc quality control related activities
Typical background and experience required:
Must have:
¡Lead Auditor Qualification
¡Experience in a similar QC role in manufacturing industry
¡Practical application of QMS principles & standards
¡Experience in quality investigations including RCA
¡Experience in report writing
¡Proficient computer skills including the use of Microsoft packages
¡Good communication, organisational and administrative skills
Nice to have:
¡Oil related industry experience
¡Auditing experience; participation of audits
¡Trade /Technical qualification
Main accountabilities:
List of tasks / accountabilities following review
¡Day to day administration of the project quality control requirements
¡Ensure client quality control requirements are complied with
¡Liaison with client on all quality aspects of the project
¡Conduct Criticality Assessments and identify inspection surveillance levels as per process requirements
¡Determine Purchase Certification Levels
¡Review and mark-up supplier ITP's
¡Review of Supplier Quality related Documents
¡Participate in KoM and Pre-Production Meeting (as required)
¡Attendance at Supplier facilities for inspection/surveillance activities as per ITP
¡Reporting on inspection related activities.
¡Authorise release of supplier goods.
¡Participate in Supplier Weekly Meetings (as required)
¡Compilation of quality content of tender submission.
¡Review of supplier as-built documentation.
¡Participate in Quality Investigations.
¡Management of NCR's including completion of Root Cause Analysis to identify trends and implement improvements.
¡Completion of Supplier QHSE Evaluations to identify potential QHSE risks.
¡Participate in process improvement initiatives and implement accordingly within the business.
¡Ad-hoc support of quality related activities where synergies are required across the business including Synergi, CoNQ, Quality Alerts, Business Management System & Lessons Learned)
