QA-QC Manager/ Engineer

Job description

· Job Purpose : QA-QC Manager/ Engineer in a Fabrication Yard manufacturing Pressure Equipment, Process Plant Modules, Steel Structure and Piping
· Role : QA / QC of running project, conducting QA audits, testing of materials, etc
· Typical Job Group Code : NA
· Reporting Lines
· Functionally Reports to : Head Dahej MMY
· Operationally Reports to : Head Dahej MMY
· Directly Supervises : QA / QC staff
· Key Interactions : Production, planning, store.
· Profile (Skills, Experience & Qualifications)
· Must have : BE/ B Tech in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering with 3-20 years of experience in a Heavy/ Medium fabrication industry, knowledge of International Codes and Standards, Familiarity with methods of QC in workshop/ yard environment, Inspection of Equipment, Piping, Structure; Quality and Integrated Management Systems
· Nice to have : Knowledge of Welding, HSE Management, Lean Six Sigma training, Lead Auditor Training in ISO-9000 etc.
· Main Accountabilities : Timely quality clearance of job, Quality check of incoming material, lab testing, clearance of various QA audits.
