Production Engineer, Graduate Program



TechnipFMC Graduate Program is a one year onboarding program. You will be assigned a personal mentor, and included in the Graduate family where you can share knowledge, information and experiences.

During the program you will be provided with a lot of relevant training and development opportunities, and also closely followed up and supported by your mentor and manager through monthly meetings.

We believe that our onboarding program helps new employees to be engaged, competent and confident.

Introduction to the Job

We are looking for motivated and engaged Engineers to be a part of the Production Engineering Team in Kongsberg.

The Production Engineer acts as a liaison between Production and Engineering departments during the transition of new products to production. You will also be supporting production to ensure current products are built to TechnipFMC standards and assures that robust Production systems are in-place, maintained and continuously improved to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements.

HSE focus has to be important to you, as this is a focus in all our work. You will be responsible for the safety of our people, something we cannot compromise on.

You are good at seeing creative solutions. Knowledge about Manufacturing is also a strength, but we are open to provide training.

Our organization keeps developing, so we are looking for people with curiosity and an appetite for improvements, ā€œout of the box thinkingā€, and with experience from practical work.

Interest and experience with Lean techniques is a strength, and we require strong command of both English and Norwegian language.

Job description
Ā·  Main tasks will be:
Ā·  3D modelling of machines, equipment, production lines
Ā·  Analyze prosesses, Process Failure Mode Analyze
Ā·  Valuestream Mapping
Ā·  Identify and reccomend improvements in our production lines
Ā·  Problem solving in existing production lines, electrical, automation, hydraulic, mechanical
Ā·  Contact with suppliers of production equipment
Ā·  Monitor other industries to benchmark us and ensure we follow the development of the industry

Ā·  Job Location is Kongsberg, in a high tech workshop environment.


You are meant for this job if you have either:
Ā·  You have a Certificate of Apprenticeship/Fagskole within Automation, Industrial Mechanics, Automation.
Ā·  Teknisk Fagskole in Mechatronics, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics/Electro
Ā·  BSc or MSc in Engineering
Ā·  Lean experience, but is not required
Ā·  Strong command of English language
