Job Purpose:

Delivery and working on technically complex process engineering design within proposals, studies, projects execution & operations, as part of a study &/or project team, in accordance with design & engineering standards & procedures, schedules and budget, with a continuous concern for quality standards, targets and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Process Design experience in Ethylene, Hydrogen / Syn Gas, or Refinery & Petrochemicals

Project: On-going and Upcoming Projects

Role: Working Level / Sub-Lead

Reporting Lines

·Functionally Reports to: Lead Engineer

·Operationally Reports to: Department Head – Process & Technology

·Interactions: Project Engineer, PID’s Designer, Lead PID’s, Process Specialist Engineer, Discipline Engineer, possibly the Client

Profile (Skills & Qualifications)

·Must have : B.Tech / M.Tech in Chemical engineering from reputed university and 3 – 10 years’ experience in Process Design and Engineering.

·Preferred to have: Skills in Process software like ASPEN HYSYS and / or PRO II, HTRI, PIPENET or FLARENET

Main Accountabilities:

·Analyses project specifications, tender and proposals requirements.

·Contribute to the development of design parameters and methodologies.

·Prepares technically correct, safe, environmentally friendly, cost & time effective discipline engineering analysis and solutions for approval :

oDesign basis

oProcess description

oPFD’s and heat & material balance

oMSD and material selection philosophy

oControl scheme

oProcess and Utility P&ID’s

oEquipment & instrumentation Datasheet

oUtilities and chemicals consumption summaries

oSimulations and calculations

·Provides support to all project activities, from engineering to start-up, as required.

·Interfaces with other process engineering disciplines and design team(s).

·Assists in development of a process knowledge databases for studies, projects &/or operations (capturing and reporting events & experiences within studies, projects & operations and writing of technical notes)

·May participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up.

·Reports own activities within studies, projects &/or operations management.

·Guarantees the compliance of process engineering solutions with client requirements, industry standards and Group HSE, engineering processes and best practices.

·Coordinates process activities on tenders and project execution.

·Provides Junior level process engineers with guidance and training and check their deliverables.
