RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide layout, design, and detailing of engineering drawings using 2D and 3D Computer Aided Design system.
• Works from sketches, verbal discussions, reference drawings, manufacturers specifications, customer specifications, applicable codes and industry standards.
• Maintain the applicable discipline (Electrical/Mechanical) electronic database.
• Maintain a high level of uniformity between projects.
• Conduct training for the applicable discipline CAD designers. Provide hardware and software support as needed.
• Assist engineer in equipment/instrumentation selection, design and layout of drawings, bills of material, purchase requisitions, and design calculations.
• Create finished engineering drawings from engineer’s rough sketches and customer specifications.
• Complete design/drawings in reasonable amount of time.
• Follow all storage/retrieval procedures for computer document files.
• Follow all procedures for document handling and routing. Assist others when needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

·  A.A.S. Degree or equivalent.
·  5+ years’ experience designing and documenting mechanical equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
·  Computer skills to include: Autocad, Inventor, Siemens NX (Unigraphics), Vault and Microsoft Office.
·  Knowledge Base: Petrochemical processes, flow measurement & control functions/applications.
