RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates, Reviews and updates routings and manufacturing documentation, assists QN (Quality Notification) resolution, participates in Root Cause Analysis, develops Standard Work Instructions, defines and implements process improvements, and improves tooling/fixturing as required. Acts as a quality improvement lead.
MAIN TASKS:
¡ Participate in process improvements across all product lines while working with diverse groups.
¡ Ensures all manufacturing documentation is ready for the shop (programs, tooling lists, setup lists, fixturing and so on).
¡ Must participate in IQ events and Continuous Improvement Events.
¡ Supports daily needs of manufacturing.
¡ Assists in translating customer requirements into a viable and competitive manufacturing solution.
REQUIREMENTS:
¡ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
¡ Two years' experience in CNC machining in both turning and milling applications.
¡ Some knowledge of systems such as SAP, Unigraphics or other CAD/CAM software.
¡ Understanding of work holding fixtures used in CNC applications.
¡ Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings.
¡ General understanding of internal economic factors (cost, margins, profit impact of decisions) affecting assignment areas.
¡ Shows evidence of good organization and communication skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Spends 70% of time in office environment, 30% in shop. Exposed to possible hazards such as heavy equipment and loud noise
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Spends 70% of time sitting and operating a computer or workstation. Spends 30% of time lifting, pushing, and walking. Some climbing.
