Location: Paris La Défense
Missions and responsibilities :
Within the Instrumentation, Control System and Telecommunication Department, you will be in charge of the administration of the tools used by the instrumentation discipline (Smart Plant Instrumentation and/or Aveva Instrumentation) and the support to users from various entities, on projects.
Your main responsibilities are as follow:
· Define the needs to setup the tool on a project, to coordinate and to ensure the correct deployment of it (interface with IT, project stakeholders and disciplines).
· Define and implement the configuration and the customization of the application in accordance with project needs: tuning parameters, application structure, data references, libraries, pick lists, rules, access rights.
· Suit and develop templates for the production of reports and deliverables by the instrumentation team on the project and for other disciplines (Information Management).
· Write and adjust the necessary procedures and instructions manuals for the efficient use of the tool on the project targeting various types of users (partners, sub-contractors, vendors, client) from various locations and cultures.
· Provide support, information and training on the tool as needed for project users.
· Perform first line analysis on issues reported by users in order to find the right person to solve the issue quickly. Follow-up and coordinate the resolution.
· Ensure technology-watch around the tools used by instrumentation, especially the new functions proposed by the tool editors. Assess the benefit of new functions and test it.
· Provide means for quality and quantity analysis on data managed by the tool (suited quantity and quality reports), targeting users and management.
Profile :
Engineer (BSC degree or master degree) with knowledge and experience in instrumentation or automation for process industry (oil & gas, chemical,…), you are familiar with software applications and databases.
A first experience with SmartPlant Instrumentation or equivalent would be a significant added-value for this position.
You are orderly, rigorous, proactive, curious, you have team-spirit and you are naturally client-oriented, always seeking for improvement.
You have verbal and written skills in both French and English and you are available for travelling worldwide.
