Asset Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To plan, coordinate, and implement for the accurate accounting, reporting, controlling and safeguarding of capital assets and any other asset deemed critical. Accountable for equipment documentation and tracking, process control, and master data integrity. The Asset Specialist will also administrate and provide guidance to Asset Coordinator on specific asset requirements. Other duties will include technical training and serving as a resource for Material Handler.

MAIN TASKS:

¡Assists in the transfer and/or disposal and sale of assets to ensure the decisions are consistent with business needs.

¡Attends meetings as required by Operation managers.

¡  Demonstrates accountability when asset support has not been met by local requirement. Ensures follow-up discussions are held with the asset Supervisor/Managers to guarantee the business has met the support needs and specified requirements.
¡  Maintains an accurate list of asset allocated to each local base.
¡  Maintains utilization reporting for local base.
¡  Maintains database of equipment in Asset Management systems with all asset master data requirements, critical asset data, and all required inspection and service maintenance criteria. Communicates with management to facilitate documentation requirements when needed.
¡  Assists with the import and export of equipment between various TechnipFMC locations.
¡  Supports and enforces maintenance program for assets in the BL.
¡  Reports deficiencies on equipment and supplies report of assets and equipment unfit for service. Works with various TechnipFMC locations to ensure consistency and quality in reporting.
¡  Gathers data on available asset for upcoming equipment requirements. Communicates with the Asset Supervisor/Manager to review and provide feedback on AFE's during the approval process.
¡  Observes and demonstrates safety behaviors consistent with TechnipFMC Safety polices. Reports unsafe working conditions and behaviors per standard protocol. Takes reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe acts.
¡  Move materials from location to location as instructed by the Move Request form by carrying, pushing, rolling or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors or other material handling equipment.
¡  Assists with the import and export of equipment between various FMC locations. Participates in TechnipFMC Logistics and assists in educating colleagues on relevant processes.
¡  Assist preparation of shipments by staging, counting, documenting, and packaging materials for safe transport.
¡  Process paperwork and arrange for transport through 3rd party provider.
¡  Distribute received shipments by delivering materials to requestor. Process paperwork to record transaction.
¡  Assist in physically locating Customer Property materials.
¡  Assist refurbishment teams with load outs or any staging of equipment.
¡  Assists with SAP inventory record maintenance by weighing materials, measuring materials, and creating and attaching identifying equipment tags.

REQUIREMENTS:

¡High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

¡Prefers a minimum of 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.

¡Demonstrated knowledge of asset management.

¡Demonstrated solid analytical skills capable of analyzing data and making recommendations.

¡Demonstrated computer skills with proven proficiency in MS office and MS Projects.

¡Effectively use interpersonal and communication skills including tact and diplomacy

¡Effectively use organizational skills with attention to detail and consistent follow through and completion of assigned tasks.

¡Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, management, and key stakeholders.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Describe general working conditions (i.e. noise level, temperature, around heavy machinery)

¡Spends approximately 10% of time in an office environment and 90% of working time with personnel in a warehouse and storage yard environment. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, exposure to vibration and working near moving mechanical parts can occur when working in a warehouse and/or storage yard environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Describe amount & frequency of physical requirements of the position (i.e. lifting, pushing, climbing)

¡Frequent sitting and operating a computer. Fast paced atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change. Occasionally subject to lifting of up to 50 lbs. Some travel for vendor and/or client contact. Travel will mean car and airplane travel. PPE compatibility required
