POSITION SUMMARY

Assembles and tests mechanical assemblies of moderate complexity, requiring some fitting and adjusting.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or G.E.D.
· Technical /vocational / or military training or related experience.
· Typically has two or four years mechanical experience with at least six months experience in-house in Assembly Area.
· Must have mastered at least one key sub-assembly and continue to train on additional components.
· Ability to comprehend more complex engineering and weld blueprints and be able to understand written Engineering procedures.
· Exposure to hydraulic schematic and Bill of Material (BOM) interpretation.
· Must be mechanically inclined and be able to use pneumatic tools, hydraulic pumps and gauges, overhead cranes, jib cranes, forklifts, rigging and hand tools.
· Strong interpersonal skills.
· Related oilfield products experience preferred.

Training Requirements:

Knowledge of Edmonton Operating Procedures, START Safety program, FMC Material Handling Equipment Certification, FMC Assembly training. Assists in more advanced functions as part of training.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Indicate in terms of budget, revenue, number of employees supervised, etc.

None at this level.

Works under direct supervision and selects from a variety of established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. Resolves routine questions and problems independently and refers more complex issues to higher levels.

Work Environment:

Shop environment. High noise level. Works with high-pressure equipment and chemicals. Inclement weather conditions.

Physical Demands:

Bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing upward, walking and lifting daily. Works 40 - 60 hours per week. Lifts up to 50 pounds manually, uses crane or lifting device for over 50 pounds.
