Job description

Job Purpose

To produce a quality fixture or parts free from defects using available information and documentation while meeting the production schedule in a team environment. Production positions consist of any job assigned to the production floor, to include: Assembly, Crystal Pinning, Finishing, Fabrication, Stock, Lasers, etc.

Main Duties

Provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment, and systems of work for self and all employees, and to participate in training as needed for this purpose.

Read and comprehend blueprints, routings, pick lists, bills of materials and other pre-established guidelines to perform functions of job.

Produce parts by use of appropriate hand and air tools, documentation, and equipment.

Ensures proper wiring and testing procedures by adhering to all certifying agency (UL, VDE, etc…) requirements.

Ensures a quality product by identifying issues with manufactured and purchased parts.

Obtains necessary information and daily work schedule by referencing computer system.

May order point of use inventory and restock shelves as needed.

Participates in inventory activities including cycle counting.

Ensures an organized, clean, and safe workspace by understanding and applying the use of the 6S guidelines.

May be assigned to other areas within the organization as the need arises.

Able to learn and master these tasks in 1 year.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalency

Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Ability to work overtime as needed (at times, mandatory)

Attendance regular and dependable

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Ability to stand for an 8-10 hour shift

Shifts: 1st 6:30-3:00 pm, 2nd 3:00-11:30 pm
