Who are we looking for?

Qualifications / Requirements

·  BSc, MSc or PhD Degree in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering or other technical discipline with emphasis in process design and controls of water and wastewater treatment unit operations.
·  Relevant in-depth experience in the design and operation of biological waste water treatment systems
·  Ability to communicate effectively and contribute on multidisciplinary teams.
·  Proven customer interaction and commercial savvy.
·  Ability to perform light manual tasks on-site including lifting and using hand and power tools
·  Experience in technical sales, commercial operations/negotiations or product management is an advantage;
·  Ability to travel internationally and locally up to 10-30% of time;
·  Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, biological design tools, such as BioWin or GPSX; knowledge of SAP is an advantage
·  Fluent in English (written and verbal);
·  Knowledge of German, French, Turkish or any other European language is an advantage
·  Ability to speak effectively before groups and customers, clients, and other employees of organization

What will you be doing? Role Purpose

We are currently seeking a high-energy, self-motivated and dedicated pilot process engineer to support our new product introduction of MABR (Membrane Aerated Biofilm Reactor)/ZeeLung, reporting to the Process Engineering Manager.

The position requires a combination of process design expertise, project management skills along with commercial expertise in technical sales and customer relationships. The position provides technical support along with the Senior Process Leader within the Region.
Key Responsibilities
·    Develop/Prepare Process Designs for proposals and new projects, to ensure accuracy, competitiveness and compliance with design standards, specifications, relevant codes and EHS requirements in the region;
·  Develop winning bid strategies and design concepts with Product Management, Commercial Engineering and Sales team.
·  Support Commercial Eng. / sales team with sales calls to clients, owners and consultants;
·  Provide expert advice / recommendations on various treatability / optimized design options for new projects;
·  Interact with the Project Manager, Sales, and the customers in technical meetings and present design offerings;
·  Optimize/refine designs based on customer feedback and meeting customers' requirements;
·  Provide the input required (including supporting calculations) to prepare project related documents such as but not limited to, equipment/pump sizing, mass balance, PFD's, and P&ID's;
·  Assist in the timely preparation of Process description and control descriptions;
·  Assist with the process/trouble shooting sections of Operation and Maintenance manuals;
·  Finalization of Technical package for Engineering after the project is awarded;
·  Participate in technical peer risk review within the design review team for projects, to ensure design optimization / value engineering;
·  Technically lead pilot activities (test plans, guide on operating changes etc.) and reporting;
·  Perform field service activities as may be assigned including: start-up, operator training and systems performance validation;
·  Working with a team of experts, drive product quality and reliability issues to root cause and corrective action using a disciplined, data-driven approach;
·  Draft appropriate technical documentation including engineering bulletins/fact sheets and assist/Develop process team on new / improvement existing process engineering tools;  
·  Drive commercial success by presenting at conferences and supporting commercial team with customer meetings.
·  Develop technical training material and train peers and the wider teams, such as sales and CE in MABR/ZeeLung
