Process Engineer - Water / Waste Water

Job description

Role Purpose  To independently develop optimized, cost effective and risk abated water, water reuse and wastewater process designs and solutions across the SUEZ’s Engineered System product portfolio and beyond. The candidate will provide support to Commercial Engineering and Sales team during project development and bid phase; support the Engineering teams during project execution and support the service teams during commissioning and trouble-shooting activities. All Activities will be focused around our customers’ needs incl. direct customer contact in all phases of the project.

 
Key Responsibilities
·  Develop creative solutions and prepare process designs for new projects, to ensure accuracy, competitiveness and compliance with design standards, specifications, relevant codes and EHS requirements in the region;
·  Develop winning bid strategies and design concepts with Commercial Engineering and Sales team. Support Commercial Eng. / sales team with sales calls to clients, owners and consultants;
·  Provide expert advice / recommendations on various treatability / optimized design options for new projects;
·  Interact with the Project Manager, Sales, and the customers in technical meetings and present design offerings;
·  Optimize/refine designs based on customer feedback and meeting customers' requirements;
·  Provide the input required (including supporting calculations) to prepare project related documents such as but not limited to, equipment/pump sizing, mass balance, PFD's, and P&ID's;
·  Assist in the timely preparation of Process description and control descriptions;
·  Assist with the process/trouble shooting sections of Operation and Maintenance manuals;
·  Finalization of Technical package for Engineering after the project is awarded;
·  Participate in technical peer risk review within the design review team for projects, to ensure design optimization / value engineering;
·  Coordinate Pilot test plans and review/approve operating changes;
·  Review proposals prepared by Pilot Project Manager. Review and approve pilot reports technical content;
·  Assist/Develop process team on new / improvement existing process engineering tools;
·  Perform field service activities as may be assigned including: start-up, operator training and systems performance validation;
·  Working with a team of experts, drive product quality and reliability issues to root cause and corrective action using a disciplined, data-driven approach;
·  Draft appropriate technical documentation including engineering bulletins/fact sheets.
