JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Store Operator (Warehouse – Spare Parts) for the Warehouse team. The Store Operator is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, handling, and issuance of raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and specialized items including flammable, chemical, and cold store materials. This role ensures the smooth flow of materials to support uninterrupted production and maintenance operations. The Store Operator maintains inventory accuracy, enforces safety compliance, and collaborates with multiple departments to optimize warehouse efficiency.
Work primarily performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, including cold storage areas. Handling of hazardous materials requires strict adherence to safety protocols. Physical requirements include lifting, carrying, and operating warehouse equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Verifying incoming receipts, recording all warehouse transactions in SAP/EWMS, performing regular stock counts, monitoring inventory levels and applying FIFO principles.
· Properly storing, segregating and identifying materials; handling hazardous items safely and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
· Preparing and issuing materials according to approved requests; verifying quantities and prioritizing urgent requirements.
· Complying with all safety rules, PPE requirements and procedures; ensuring correct labeling and storage of hazardous materials and actively participating in safety initiatives.
· Maintaining accurate inventory records and traceability of stock movements; reporting stock data, discrepancies and any incidents in a timely manner.
· Collaborating with Procurement, Production, Maintenance, Quality, suppliers and logistics partners; supporting audits and continuous improvement activities.
· Performing basic checks on warehouse equipment, reporting any malfunctions and supporting temperature control and monitoring activities.
· Applying access control and fire safety rules in flammable, chemical and cold storage areas, including regular temperature monitoring.
Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate shall:
· Hold a minimum high school diploma or equivalent; a technical or logistics‑related certification is preferred.
· Have at least 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, ideally in a manufacturing or electronics environment.
· Preferably have experience handling hazardous materials (flammable, chemical, cold storage).
· Demonstrate strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse processes.
· Be familiar with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP tools (e.g. SAP).
· Be able to operate warehouse equipment safely (forklift certification is an advantage).
· Show excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
· Have a strong commitment to safety, quality and compliance.
· Possess good communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with internal stakeholders.
· Be able to work independently as well as effectively within a team.
· Have basic computer skills for data entry, reporting and email communication.
