Part of DIT (Digital Information Technology) organization supporting the advanced manufacturing site of Catania  is looking for a telecom and network engineer to support Catania site in Italy.

The main mission of the jobholder will be: 

·  Maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of server systems.
·  Completes troubleshoot hardware and software errors by use of monitoring tools, running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, including elevations as necessary.
·  Ensure on-call support to fix critical issues reported during non-business hours.
·  Participation to the new solutions definitions/POC with the architecture group.
·  Write and maintain technical documentation
·  Implements security measures to protect data, hardware, etc.
·  Cyber security of Manufacturing equipment         

Profile

Educational qualification:

·  Higher education in Computer Science, Engineer or University.
·  A good command of English is necessary for this position. Position is based in Catania but requires interaction with engineers all over the globe.

Technical skills:

·  Operative system Windows/LINUX Server.
·  Configuration and management of Windows/LINUX cluster.
·  Configuration and management of windows/LINUX services.
·  SAN Storage configuration (Veritas Infoscale).
·  Virtualization (VMWare).
·  Security hardening of Windows operative systems.
·  Windows PowerShell scripting knowledge.
·  AV management (TrendMicro Deep Security, Symantec End Point Protection).
·  Security Technology (TrendMicro Application Control)
·  knowledge in monitoring applications (ZABBIX/OVO).

Pre-Requisites : 

·  Availability to work in team and on-call shifts is a MUST.
·  Certification area PLUS.
·  This position may also require occasional travels in ST worldwide
·  Good written and communication skills.
