Job description
The job holder will work in Back-End Manufacturing & Technology R&D organization located in Agrate Brianza, Italy; the team is dedicated to IC-Packaging development with the mission to provide the best-in-class packaging solutions by means of continuous innovation and perfect execution of technology roadmaps.
Main job holder responsibilities will be:
- To design a new package or new package option starting from the leadframe and considering all the materials and assembly steps needed for the realization of the package;
- To act as package technical leader for the projects related to a new package development. In this role the package designer has to interface with internal customers, leadframe suppliers, assembly plants and BEM&T central functions along all the development path from feasibility/proof of concept up to package qualification and start of production;
- To cooperate with R&D Process Technology Team for the development of new assembly technologies required for the given new package;
- To prepare all the relevant documentation for leadframe purchasing and for each package development maturity steps (deliverables) in cooperation with R&D PMO;
- To define and assess new design rules for innovative package design solutions;
- To support internal and external customers in packaging choice through technical advice and guidance.
Profile
- Fluent in English
- Solid know-how of 2D & 3D mechanical CAD tools (AutoCAD, Inventor or similar)
- Attitude to problem solving and team work
- Curiosity, flexibility, sense of urgency, care of details
- Availability to travel abroad
