Job description

STMicroelectronics Malta Ltd. is looking to employ Maintenance Technicians to join their team. Applicants must hold a minimum MQF Level 4 with a good command of English, both written and verbal.  

Main Responsibilities:

- Equipment uptime maximization – intervene to solve routine issues and minimize unscheduled downtime, ensuring targeted daily production output at the required quality

- Perform preventive maintenance activities in a timely and effective manner

- Perform product setup changes and machine RTP, as required

- Use inspection equipment to verify product quality, based on process requirements

- Share and follow-up Shift Interventions details and Handover instructions to/from fellow colleagues and superiors

- Be responsible to maintain and promote good housekeeping & 5S principles within the manufacturing area and on all related equipment

- Work in a safe manner and make sure that the related equipment is operating safely at all times

- Be able to use SAP for equipment replacement parts searching, stock checking and withdrawal

- Be able to use FW CMMS terminal for maintenance activities management and recording

- Be able to use the maintenance recall system (X-Site).

Profile

The ideal candidate must:

- Possess good technical knowledge of assembly manufacturing equipment

- Preferably hold the necessary MQF Level 4 certificates and/or relevant qualifications

- Be able to prioritize tasks according to urgency / work load, based on production & quality goals

- Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written

- Have good command of the English language

- Be responsible and mature

- Possess an excellent exemplary record history

- Be smart and task/goal oriented

- Be flexible, adaptable to needs and able to take decisions based on inputs

- Be computer literate

- Be disciplined, motivated and willing to work in a team
