Job description

In 2016 STMicroelectronics opened a site in Graz, Austria. This newly founded site is the NFC and UHF Readers Competence center of the MDG Group in STMicroelectronics, responsible for Marketing, Product Management and Application Development for the product groups NFC- and UHF Reader ICs. 

To support the HW Application team, internship positions for HW Application Engineering are available. It is possible to do a Bachelor- or Master thesis in cooperation with the TU Graz within the scope of the internship. 

Job Description

-       Measurement of electrical and RF parameters

-       Preparation and execution of RF performance and standard compliance tests

-       Soldering activities

-       Design and manufacturing of mechanical setups

-       PCB development and validation

-       Writing of technical documentation and test reports


Required Profile

-       Soldering skills

-       Experience in PCB schematics and layout design, ideally using Altium

-       Know How in RF Measurement techniques

-       Know How in NFC and/or UHF RFID is an advantage

-       Know How in mechanical design

-       Know How in SW development is an advantage (e.g. C, C++, C#, scripting languages like Python)

-       Experience in MS Office

-       Good English skills as you will be working with multi-national teams
