We have an opportunity in our Santa Clara, CA office for a Characterization & Modeling Intern with SW programming skills to automate the testing set up and analyze the testing results in scripts.  

 

We are looking for an intern who can work in our Lab: VCSEL (a type of laser) Lab. Hands-on experiments are to be performed. Lab automation skills using Python, Labview, etc. will be desirable. 

 

Laser characterization for the following topics is required to be carried out:

- Optical power

- Optical pulse

- Beam profile

- Spectrum

 

Data analysis using Excel or other software should be done using the data from the laser characterization. Experiment results together with the analysis will be reported to one’s manager.

Profile

o Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in related field 
o 0-2 years of experience
o Experience with LabVIEW/Python script programming
o Electro-Optical Device testing experience 
o Characterization experience
o Analog Driver circuit experience
