Job Description

A Day in the Life

Within our R&I teams, you will help push the boundaries of science to invent the future of beauty. Reporting to the Head of Environmental Research & Sustainable Development, you will join a passionate expert team dedicated to assessing and reducing the environmental footprint of cosmetic products, supporting eco-design initiatives, and driving L'Oréal's ambitious "L'Oréal for the Future" 2030 sustainability goals.

You will work in close collaboration with Environmental Research teams, sustainability partners across labs and Brands, D3I colleagues, sustainable sourcing & procurement teams, and corporate stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities will include:

·  Impact Analysis: Analyze and leverage data from eco-design and simulation tools across the L'Oréal catalogue to support labs, brands, General Management and R&I in building strategies that meet "L'Oréal For the Future" (L4TF) objectives.
·  Environmental Expertise: Identify, understand and master the key environmental impacts driving the global environmental footprint of different product categories and formulation types, factoring in country-specific characteristics.
·  Strategic Vision: Maintain a holistic view of major environmental topics linked to formulation and proactively propose innovative solutions and strategies aligned with L4TF objectives.
·  Project Ownership: Progressively take on new projects, analyze emerging challenges, and design associated strategies to meet sustainability targets.
·  Data Quality & Benchmarking: Ensure the relevance and accuracy of data entered by labs into eco-design tools through regular checks, and maintain all department benchmarks up to date. We Are Looking For

We are looking for an individual combining a strong scientific background with a genuine passion for sustainability and a natural curiosity for digital innovation - someone capable of translating complex environmental data into clear, actionable insights. You thrive in a collaborative, international environment and are energized by tackling multidisciplinary challenges.

You are the ideal candidate if you have:

·  A Master's degree (Bac+5 or above) in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Agronomy, or Cosmetics.
·  A genuine interest in environmental issues and sustainable development.
·  A highly developed analytical mindset with strong synthesis skills.
·  An autonomous, agile, rigorous, and results-oriented working style.
·  Strong teamwork and cooperation skills in multidisciplinary and international contexts.
·  Proficiency in data manipulation and related tools (Excel, PowerBI).
·  Knowledge of cosmetic raw materials and formulation is a strong plus. What's In It For You

Life's too short for a boring career. That's why at L'Oréal, you're not just starting a job; you're starting an adventure. You'll be encouraged to take risks, challenge the status quo, and leave your mark on some of the world's most iconic beauty brands. Forget the sidelines - here, you're in the driver's seat of your career from day one.

·  A place for you to leave your comfort zone and grow beyond your potential (here, you'll be encouraged to try new things and take risks!).
·  Real responsibility from day 1; there's no sitting on the sidelines at L'Oréal.
·  An environment where people of every ethnicity, social background, age, religion, gender and sexual orientation, as well as people with disabilities, are accepted, can speak up, will thrive and are celebrated!
·  A place where you can contribute to something bigger! Many of our brands have societal and environmental causes to make a concrete difference.
