Job Description

This position is fully based in Montreal .
We are actively seeking candidates currently located in Europe who are open to relocating to Canada .

We are looking for a Safety Engineer for Advanced Vehicle systems to support the design, analysis, and validation of safety-critical automotive features. The role focuses on ensuring functional safety and system robustness for advanced vehicle subsystems (ADAS, E/E architecture, actuators, sensors). 

Responsibilities :

·  Conduct  functional safety analyses  (FMEA, STPA, SOTIF) for advanced vehicle systems. 
·  Support  system design verification and validation  activities to ensure safety compliance. 
·  Collaborate with s oftware, electrical and vehicle subsystem teams  to integrate safety requirements. 
·  Develop and maintain  safety documentation : requirements, hazard analyses, verification evidence. 
·  Identify and mitigate potential  failure modes  in advanced vehicle components. 

Qualifications

·  Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. 
·  Experience with  functional safety  in automotive systems (ISO 26262, ISO 21448). 
·  Familiarity with  ADAS or advanced vehicle subsystems. 
·  Practical knowledge of  FMEA, STPA, or SOTIF  methods. 
·  Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
