As Technician within our Mechanical Testing Department you’ll be at the heart of our ambitious growth plans with an unrivalled opportunity to safe guard the quality of our market leading composite materials for a variety of industrial applications.
Below are some of the tasks that will form part of your day-to-day activities:
· Plan technical and operational aspects of your work with guidance from your Senior Technician which may include; laminating, preparing samples or testing.
· To provide laboratory support and undertake project work or technical support with the aim of improving the company’s products, processes and technologies.
· To develop a good understanding of the techniques and the equipment used along with offering suggestions for method improvements.
· To maintain accurate records of all work carried out; you will also be able to make robust decisions on a daily basis and report conclusions.
Skills and Qualifications
· You will have 5 GCSE’s at grade C and above to include Math’s and English.
· ONC or foundation degree in engineering which has included a research project.
· 2-3 years relevant experience.
The successful applicant must be able to evidence a strong results orientation and be able to work effectively within a team environment. You will also possess excellent communication, analytical, problem solving skills and have a natural curiosity. Experience of mechanical engineering is a significant advantage.
