Summer Internship - Technical Marketing

Job description

Our 2017 Summer Internship Program is designed for professional development with hands-on assignments. Summer Interns will find a challenging and rewarding business experience in a variety of areas all while acquiring an overview of our organization. Interns will work closely with mentors and managers on special projects, and attend valuable workshops throughout the duration of the program. This summer program gives you an opportunity for exposure to a variety of Solvay's Business Units and Service Functions while gaining experience working in a corporate environment.

Responsibilities Include:

· To coordinate with the global Solvay Specialty Polymers commercial team as well as external resources to develop a market assessment for Primospire. To help support the business justification for capital to invest in this technology
· To help with the Product Launch of a new family of PEEK materials. In this role they would support Brian Stern who is going to lead the effort. Similar to the first project as they would need to help evaluate market potential. However, there would also be other aspects involved such as the development of the proper initial product slate to meet the needs of the market assumptions. In this role they would also interface with R&D.

Desired profile

The following requirements must be met for consideration in this program:

·  Currently enrolled as a full-time student
·  Marketing and Technical background
·  Must have the right to work in the U.S without restrictions.
· 
3.0 GPA or higher.

· 
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint.

· 
Excellent writing/verbal communication and presentation skills.

· 
Proven problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.
