Solvay's 2018 Internship Program:

Are you currently looking for a summer internship, where you can contribute your creativity, talents and passion to an exciting, fast-paced organization? Solvay's 2018 Summer Internship Program offers ambitious college students the opportunity to take on hands-on and challenging assignments within a variety of Solvay's Business Units and Functions. Summer interns will work side by side with managers on special projects, and attend valuable workshops throughout the duration of the program.

Solvay has a supply chain internship available within the Specialty Polymers global business unit for the summer of 2018.

Tasks/Projects for Intern:

Stores spare parts data creation
· Create and enter large volume of new spare parts listings into our SAP system. Work with engineers to clarify missing information.

· Work with Solvay engineers to identify spare parts already received and cross reference with new spare parts numbers/listings. Define shelf locations in Stores warehouse.

· Create and clean-up Stores parts contracts in SAP for existing parts that are missing contract information.
Solvay Surplus Spares website
· Identify, photograph, and create web descriptions for surplus equipment, and place on Solvay Surplus Spares website. Manage website sales during internship.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  College intern pursuing business or engineering degree.
·  Good technical skills regarding computers and databases. Ability to group and enter data accurately and consistently.
·  Strong communication skills to contact Solvay unit engineers, as well as suppliers and vendors for additional parts information.
·  Time management skills to enter a large volume of new parts data into SAP over summer timeframe.

·  Attention to detail – must enter data accurately
·  Technical skills – is comfortable with data set-up and learning SAP system
·  Results oriented – can work within the summer timeframe to complete the work
·  Initiative to complete large volume of work with minimal supervision
