Summer Internship - HSE & Quality

Job description

Our 2017 Summer Internship Program is designed for professional development with hands-on assignments. Summer Interns will find a challenging and rewarding business experience in a variety of areas all while acquiring an overview of our organization. Interns will work closely with mentors and managers on special projects, and attend valuable workshops throughout the duration of the program.

· This internship will be involved with the health, safety and environmental activities for the Bristol R&I Center. It will cover all aspects of maintaining a safe environment for the center (training, safety data sheets, inspections and audits, documentation).
· This will primarily be an office based role, but there will be opportunities to support lab based process safety studies and understand the principles of assessing process safety.
· Assisting in updates of key policies and procedures and ensuring good management of safety data sheets
· Helping with the roll out of new initiatives, especially in the area of behavioral safety.

Desired profile

·  Chemistry or Chemical Engineering – pursuing degree level studies and/or pursuing a HSE Qualification.
·  Chemical Laboratory experience
·  Interest in HSE and Quality activities
·  Strong attention to detail and accuracy
·  Able to work in a group environment
