Job Overview and Responsibilities
The role of the person is to drive the use of statistics and innovation best practices in a global R&D team, covering all aspects of problem solving, from test,methods optimization to Designs of Experiments (DoEs) for product and process development as well as analysis of experimental results.
Act as a partner toresearch and improvementprojectsandanalytical teams, providing expertise and guidance for all aspects of statistical analysis, DoEsanddevelopment of products, processes and analytical methods.
Upskill the organisation on the application of statistical methods and toolsthrough appropriate training and coaching.
Ensure the application of appropriate statistical methodologies and procedures, including compliance with internal and external methods where necessary (e.g. ISO, ASTM and OECG guidelines).
Support the R&D organization and its management in the definitionexecutionand follow upof a continuous improvement strategy
Be the point of contact with Excellence team from R&I and Transformation Center.
Education and Experience
· MS or Ph.D. in a scientific or engineering discipline with strong expertise in statistics and data analytics.
· Proficient in English; French and/or Italian is a plus.
· Lean6 Sigma certificationas Green or Black Beltis a plus
Expertise in statistics and R&D best practices
Familiarity with the chemical and/or materials science industry
Efficient combination of the roles of promoter, adviser and trainer for statistical methods in R&D
Knowledge and practice of Lean principles.
Active collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Time management skills
Strong communication skills and ability to influence
