Job Overview and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

Support of daily laboratory functions including input of data, data review, input of work orders, purchase of supplies, weekly report generation, etc.

Acts as QRB Coordinator by coordinating the disposition of off spec material

SAP Quality maintenance

Assist in special testing for plant and R&T troubleshooting

Instrument calibration and troubleshooting

Maintain instrument and calibration records

Coordinate and order external instrument calibrations

Create and update all lab procedures

Participate in audits

Assist in identifying areas for lab improvements for workflow or testing capabilities

Shipping for Hazmat and all sample shipments to external sites

Assist in support of the Orange, TX lab and quality

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related Science preferred, but will consider minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial laboratory environment as equivalent.

Skills:

Experience with SAP preferred

Strong laboratory knowledge

Experience with Melt Indexer, GC Titration, particle size instrumentation, GCMS, XRF and DSC

Strong technical and analytical skills

Strong troubleshooting skills

Good understanding of product quality requirements and customer needs

Good communication skills

Ability to influence change
