Job description

Our 2017 Summer Internship Program is designed for professional development with hands-on assignments. Summer Interns will find a challenging and rewarding business experience in a variety of areas all while acquiring an overview of our organization. Interns will work closely with mentors and managers on special projects, and attend valuable workshops throughout the duration of the program. This summer program gives you an opportunity for exposure to a variety of Solvay's Business Units and Service Functions while gaining experience working in a corporate environment.

Tasks/Projects for Intern:

Tech Data Sheets
· Collaborate on technical/scientific issues with sales account managers to ensure we have what we need
· Publish new ones as needed

Safety Data Sheets
· Work with regulatory on technical matters to ensure the SDS are correct and loaded in the system

Website
· Make sure the products are out there, have the correct name, application use, etc.
· Work with strategic marketing in Brussels to ensure the list is correctly aligned

Write Procedures
· How to request, handle, follow up, etc. samples
· How to manage customer complaints
· How to authorize returns from customers

Organize Old Files
· Scan paper files and documents for electronic access
· Organize electronic files by segment, application, etc.

Business Development Ideas
· Load new opportunities into CRM

Desired profile

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Technical major, preferably chemistry

·  Excel and Word skills
