Job Overview and Responsibilities:

· 
Assist in the formalization and integration of Independent Protection Layer (IPL) list.  The list will be compiled from already-completed HAZOP/LOPA studies and will need to be analyzed, organized, and integrated into existing systems used by the site.  The desired deliverable is a well organized list with defined requirements for maintenance calibrations, testing frequencies, etc.

· 
Review and improve Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID’s) to ensure consistency with field installation.  This function will primarily be completed by comparing marked-up drawings with the “master” set and carefully checking for clarity and consistency, but will also likely require going into the plant to ensure that drawings accurately reflect the field installation.

· 
Help to improve the consistency of the tag conventions and tag descriptions in the plant data historian (Aspen / IP.21).

Education and Experience:
'- Must possess a GPA of 3.00 or above.
- Must be entering junior, or senior year, or are a recent graduate (within the past year) or be a full-time graduate student

- Degree program - must be science or engineering (chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering preferred).  

Skills:

-Strong computer skills including MS Office programs.  

-Excellent critical thinking and strong problem solving skills.

-(Preferred)Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on technical writing.
