Job description

The E/I Craftsman, like the others in the Silica Plant, will require the job holder to do the following, with minimal or no direct supervision: Take initiative on a regular basis; Suggest and/or make improvements to quality, to the way the work is done; and to making Silica a good place to work; Help build and maintain a positive work environment; Continuously learn new things about the work, the products, the consumers, etc.

This position comprises of, but is not limited, to the following dimensions:

Safety; Teamwork; Communicate effectively with operational personnel and supervision to troubleshoot equipment problems

Candidate will:

Maintain and repair electrical systems with voltages up to 4160 volts

Install new instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems

Install conduit and electrical circuitry

Troubleshoot and solve problems by consulting manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams.

Inspect and test equipment circuits to identify malfunctions or defects using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or ammeters

Desired profile

Qualifications:
Good working knowledge and skills of fundamentals of electrical construction, circuits, instrumentation, etc. A test will be given to assist in determining the qualifications of candidates. A minimum score of 71% will be required to be considered for the position. High school diploma/GED and at least one-year of relevant experience is required
