Soletanche Bachy is a global leader in foundations and soil technologies. The company delivers geotechnical engineering and construction services for various infrastructure projects, acting as a lead or specialist contractor.

Reporting to the Group HSE Director, this is a full-time Health & Safety Corporate Engineer role located in Rueil Malmaison, France. The role will involve extensive traveling to support the improvement of the H&S performance of the Business Units internationally. 

Responsibilities will include:

• job site/yards/installations visits,
• HSE internal audits,
• development and implementation of health & safety training for various levels of personnel,
• sharing good health & safety practices,
• fostering a culture of safety within the business and encouraging proactive participation in HSE initiatives.

Desired profile

• Engineering Degree and Construction Safety skills with a minimum of 3 years of experience (IOSH / NEBOSH / ISO 45001 & 14001 Internal or Lead Auditor Certificates preferred)
• International experience in multinational organizations and willing to frequently travel
• Training expertise in health & safety practices
• Working knowledge of international safety standards: ISO 45001, OSHA, HSE UK
• Incident Response: Skill in managing and responding to safety and environmental incidents, including conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Fluent in English is a must, speaking French is preferable but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey safety policies, procedures, and training to personnel at all levels.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience in the construction or oil & gas industry
