Responsibilities

Generic (Overall on Reconciliations)

·  Production
·  Ensuring timely receipt of both Exchange Files and GMI files into the BrokRecs Database
·  Understanding of the detail delivered within the relevant Exchange Files and how these are absorbed into the Reconciliation Processes.
·  Understanding the Products traded on each Exchange in order to articulate breaks to the correct stakeholders for resolution.
·  RCA and resolution of underlying manual or failed processes within the Reconciliations
·  Understanding the structure of departments for your Stakeholders and the team leads / SME's responsible within those teams for break management resolution.
·  Understanding the criticality of completing one reconciliation before reconciling other due to Exchange deadlines and internal stakeholder deadlines.
·  Being the first point of contact / escalation for the above functions and monitoring to ensure they are comprehensively and professionally performed.
·  Ensuring accurate completion of reconciliations and proving out reasons for differences rather than accepting solutions therefore ensuring reconciliation is accurate.
·  Providing help and coaching to other team members to raise knowledge levels, ensure consistency, accuracy and keep Newedge exposure to an absolute minimum. Issues identified should be escalated as per procedure.
·  Ensuring checklist is completed by each team member in a timely fashion.
·  Trade discrepancies have to be followed up in a timely manner, and the continual monitoring of longevity of breaks with a view to escalation where necessary.
·  Understanding of impacts on clients and downstream departments, minimizing impact of resolution failures on these groups.
·  Relay adjustments/exercise/assignment, to SME / Breaks Analyst in a timely manner so they may inform clients and customer services.
·  Work with the Regulatory Reporting team on Open interest reporting /position management.
·  Understand risks with the incorrect reconciliation and reiterate on this with the team at least once in 2 months
·  Perform Monthly one on one's with the team members and provide constructive feedback
·  Conduct weekly and monthly governance with the onshore counterparts, other internal partners and circulate minutes with the action and track it to closure
·  Ensure all the KPIs are tracked accurately and maintained
·  Ensure adequate coverage on the tasks to cover absenteeism / attrition and keep enforcing cross training
·  Perform GPS controls and provide adequate supporting
·  Create good relationship with internal partners and onshore counterparts
·  Support the operation, testing, and enhancement of all clearing and market specific applications.
·  Overall Ownership and accountability - Applicant will collaborate and escalate all issues - IT, Risk, Regulatory, HR and other general concerns
·  Continually “raising the bar” and challenges in the Clearing space.
·  Encourage team as well as attend various PDPs as per the requirements
·  Participate in various transversal initiatives like information security, Audit, BCP etc. as and when deputed and play the role as it demands, apart from ensuring the BAU in the normal course does not suffer.
·  Identify opportunities for automation and work with relevant teams to achieve increased efficiency
·  Create 100% backup to cover tasks during absenteeism of self.
·  Additional reasonable task as per delegation from management.

·  TL Responsibilities
·  Manage shared mailbox and track closure of queries and ensure team files the mails in the relevant folders
·  Manage team capacity to ensure BAU is delivered
·  Establish an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adhered to policies and guidelines of the company.
·  Manage the performance of your team ensuring staff have clear preset objectives and get regular feedback on their performance. Ensure performance appraisals are conducted in line with the firm's policy and standards.

·  Maintain staff competence by ensuring that staff skills and knowledge gaps are met with appropriate training and development, so they are able to perform to their maximum capability and fulfil their potential.
·  Initiate actions to further improve your own and the team's skills and performance.

·  Re-allocate tasks in order to meet the regulatory cut-offs. Escalate to the management in case of any challenges meeting these timelines.

Region : EMEA

·  Monitor daily progress and re-allocate tasks to minimize the number of recs not meeting client money timelines

Region : AMER

·  Ensure ICE Assignments are processed as per the agreed timelines
·  AMR Reconciliations are performed by the team as per the procedures and submitted within the timelines
