Job description



Responsibilities

Day to day responsibilities include but not limited to:

·  Work to improve production processes in FRM/APR applications (mainly FINGPA, FDM) to reduce or resolve existing process flow issues.
·  Ability to convert business requirements into production ready functionally / applications using multiple technologies.
·  Active engagement in the companies SDLC including use of JIRA, optimization of support through relevant tools, and active engagement with PRD (formally app support).
·  Optimization and Tuning of existing developments to enhance performance and increase code efficiency
·  Participate as a team member on defined standards and working practices, identify and improve existing functions, prepare technical documentation.
·  Monitors and tracks quality related issues and problems through to resolution.
·  Create and update technical documentation, and able to provide end to end solutions.
·  Develop an understanding of the business that is being supported and how developments impact stake holders across the firm.

·  Work in team-oriented environment, developing and supporting business and transversal systems within ITEC/FRM.
·  Work on moderately complex projects that require a singular area of expertise.
·  Work closely with business analysts, team members, project leaders to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
·  Serves as a technical coordinator of project which may involve GTS and other ITEC BL teams, locally and at other locations.
·  Use SDLC concepts for designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget.
·  Follow SG policies and procedures like change management, project governance and software configuration management.
·  Provide production support for existing applications.

Profile Required

Technical Skills:

·  In-depth understanding and working knowledge of SQL, scripting, and database (Oracle 12c), including performance tuning and optimization. (10 years or more)
·  Solid understanding and working knowledge of the web-based development and system architecture utilizing Java technologies (3 years or more)
·  Solid development experience and knowledge of UNIX and Windows technologies, including scripting, security and basic administration (5 years or more)
·  Experience working with Reporting and Business Intelligence Tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services and OBIEE, Analytical Services, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, Qlikvew, etc. (2 years or more)
·  Ability to define technical specifications based on client business requirements or functional specifications from business analysts.
·  Strong analytical and debugging skills

Desired / Plus:

·  Automic UC4 – Recommended or other scheduling tool
·  Datawarehousing experience would be ideal
·  Python scripting
·  sGIThub or usage of any other code management system

·  Support : Level 3 Technology Production Services/Operations in dynamic, time-critical environments across multiple time-zones

Qualifications:

·  Experience working in a global / international financial IT environment, where there are a broad range of policies and procedures. Understand and follow the IT department rules, especially the Change and Release Management procedures. Possess first-hand experience working in a real Change and Release management environment.
·  Experience with business analysis methodologies, processes and documentation standards

Experience Needed:

·  10 year(s) of experience working in a Programming Analyst role.

Desired / Plus:

·  Capital Markets experience; trading and clearing of Futures, Options, Equities, FX, Fixed Income, OTC (Bilateral and Cleared)

Educational Requirements:

·  BS/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant technical field.
