The SG Montreal Solutions Centre Inc. ('SG MSC') group employs more than 230 people, providing IT solutions and services for operations based in New York, Paris and Asia, among others. SG MSC manages IT infrastructure as well as the development, integration, maintenance and improvement of a wide array of business applications.

Mission

The Global Technical Services (GTS) division manages the IT infrastructure for the firm. The GTS Montreal Solution Center (MSC) team is searching for a VIE to assist in developing web based applications and scripts. The VIE will be asked to develop client-facing web apps that help automate IT processes and workflows. Knowledge of web development and database technologies is required.

The candidate will need to be proficient in documenting all processes throughout the project.Projects will include but not be limited to:

·  Proficient with Angular (more generally MEAN stack)
·  Proficient at GUI design and UX (user experience) with JQuery libraries
·  API and automation oriented mindset
·  Good with SQL databases
·  Knowledge of Python, Perl, Bash and PowerShell is an asset
·  Meet internal clients to collect requirements
·  Good technical English
·  Documentation skills
The candidate will be working with many different GTS teams to build good working relationships and gather business and technical requirements. The position will improve the candidates' communication and project management skills. The challenging technical environment will also allow the candidate to work on many different technologies from databases, Windows/Linux servers to different development scripting languages. The team is a transversal functioning team, so working with other teams is essential to successd

Profile

Graduate with a Master degree from Business school or University, majoring in computer Science/IT/Infrastructure.

A previous experience in IT would be appreciated.

You are fluent in French and English.

You are proficient in Office application and have knowledges inAngular /SQL Database/ jQuery libraries / Python/Perl.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE inMontreal begins as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. The assignment will last24months.
