Responsibilities

Société Générale Capital Canada operates as an investment dealer regulated by the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) in the execution, clearing and prime brokerage services of listed and OTC derivatives, cash fixed income, foreign exchange and equities products. We also offer an energy trading portal for our clients, giving them access to energy futures & options, and OTC swaps. Société Générale Capital Canada is one of the top participants in Canadian equity markets, by volume, and in derivatives markets on both the Montreal Exchange and ICE Futures Canada, in terms of market share.

·  In charge of the monthly and annual account closing of the entity SG MSC, as well as intragroup invoicing;
·  Participate in the monthly and annual closing process of all the Canadian entities;
·  Participate in daily activities of the Finance department;
·  Production of management control dashboard for the Canadian executive;
·  Preparation of the budget
·  Preparation of regulatory reporting;
·  In charge of tax returns for all SG Canada entities;
·  Responsible of the analytical structure update and cleaning.
·  Help during requests of audit (internal and external);
·  Establish and maintain the principles, the practices and the procedures of accountings departments
·  Help on accounting projects; Societe Generale Group has been established in Canada since 1974 and has today more than 400 employees and consultants based in its Montreal, Toronto and Calgary offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Profile Required

Required/Must have:
·  CPA accreditation
·  Strong analytical skills
·  I ntermediate and/or advanced Excel Skills
·  Financial Services Accounting background
·  Capacity to work under pressure
·  Ability to communicate issues effectively
·  8 years minimum in a Finance department
Desired/Plus:
·  Knowledge of the International Accounting Standards (IFRS)
·  Knowledge of the IIROC regulation
·  Good financial product knowledge
·  Language: French and English (spoke and written)
·  Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) – Major Accounting
