Your environment
At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Information Technology division of Global Banking & Investors Solutions (GBIS), one of the three pillars of SG that brings together Corporate and Investment Banking activities, Private Banking activities, Asset Management and Investor Services.

Society Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) is the financing and investment bank branch of the Société Générale Group. It offers customized solutions in terms of capital raising, funding, management of risk and investment to issuers and investors clients on debt and equity markets.
Attached to the IT department dedicated to the Front Office, you are based in the trading room. You will be part of the FO Lab team, which is in charge of rapid tactical developments for the equity derivatives Front Office (EQD).
Your role
During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities:
- Respond to the needs of EQD traders, sales and structurers in term of tactical tools.
- Suggest Solutions and challenge the requests in order to provide an optimal solution while respecting the FO Commando guidelines.
- Provide Support to the clients for the developed tools.
- Suggest and develop IT solutions such as :
Tools to Industrialize and manage the different activities;
Tools to price products and give the opportunity to think about new trading techniques;
Tools to monitor the risk (volatility, dividends, repo, rate, forex, etc...);
Tools to implement trading strategies;
Tools to help the sales in their daily processes;
Tools to respond to regulatory constraints.
Profile
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.
Your profile
Graduate from Engineering school, Business School or University with a master degree.
Previous experience in a dealing room environment is a plus.
You are fluent in English and French.
English (with IT and Financial vocabulary) is a must
You are proficient with MS Office, database management language, and Python.
