Mission

Description of the Business Line or Department - Summary of the business, coverage, services

·  Candidate will be joining Debt Capital Markets team covering CEEMEA region with primary focus on CEE and Russia & CIS
·  Unlike other institutions, our team does both origination and execution hence providing good experience on the whole DCM process
·  Close cooperation with other business lines (Liability Management, Rating Advisory, Structuring) allows to provide complex solutions to clients meeting their needs

Summary of the key purposes of the role - Summary of the key objectives and primary goals (minimum 3)

·  As a debt capital markets trainee you will work directly with the originating teams covering SG's CEEMEA client base
·  The trainee will be required to ensure that each originator is fully supported and provided with the necessary information they need in order to advise their clients
·  The trainee will thus need to provide support on the analytical side, presentations and marketing as well as be extremely organised. Within the CEEMEA team originators, focus on corporate clients and financial institutions from Central and Eastern Europe as well as Russia and CIS


Summary of responsibilities - Minimum of 6 responsibilities to be identified

·  Support DCM originators in developing client presentations, proposals and updates
·  Assist in the execution of DCM mandates, co-ordinating internal and external resources and contacts
·  Conduct analysis on new issues and credit analysis on target clients
·  Prepare frequent written market updates and client marketing documents
·  Work with other business lines, the coverage unit and investment banking to create internal and external marketing presentations
·  Initiate and support KYC and compliance processes required to conduct business with existing and new clients

·  Although experience in the Debt Capital Markets, specifically Origination, would be helpful, a Fixed Income, ECM or other similar background/ business line could be considered
·  Strong financial background and knowledge of the international bond market
·  Able to develop an understanding of derivatives and structured products
·  Fluent English – market report documents, presentations and updates are all written in English
·  First class marketing skills – the ability to synthesise complex market arguments and communicate these effectively is crucial
·  Requires advanced level knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
·  Knowledge of Bloomberg would be helpful, however, is not essential
·  Excellent analytical skills – significant data research and credit analysis
·  Good quantitative skills – comfortable with all aspects of financial maths
·  Financial skills – able to interpret a balance sheet, income and cash flow statement
·  Organisational skills – Multiple tasks with multiple deadlines in short spaces of time
·  The position requires a self-confident person who is a self-starter; highly motivated and reliable, with strong team spirit, well organized with good attention to detail
·  Strong written and oral communication skills
·  Ability to cope with multiple tasks from many different people
·  Ability to complete accurate work under significant pressure
·  Awareness of and experience in working with people with international backgrounds, prioritising tasks and managing competing deadlines
·  Good interpersonal skills
·  Hardworking ethic
