Your environment
At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Global Markets division (MARK) of SG Corporate and Investment Banking. MARK offers a cross-asset approach along all its offerings : Research, Investment & Risk Management Solutions, Execution and Prime Services to asset managers, pension funds, companies, private banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, family offices, sovereign funds and distributors worldwide.
Mission
As a Commando within the Prime Brokerage business line, you will work directly with traders and product experts, in order to develop standard high quality tools that exceed their needs and expectations.
You will sit on the trading floor and assist the front-office in 3 key areas:
1. Developing high quality original VBA tools including:
Pricing and decision-making tools
Risk Management and position follow-up instruments
Quantitative analytic developments
Reporting and dashboards
Workflows automation
2. Be the “Go To Person” and “SME” for the front officers using the above tools
3. Use your deep and broad expertise to improve the stability and safety of the existing tools
Profil
Graduated with a Master degree from Business/Engineering school or University in Finance and information system.
A previous experience in Investment Banking would be appreciated.
You are fluent in English.
You are proficient in Office application
Required/Must have:
· Strong programming skills
· Solid knowledge of VBA and SQL and ideally others
· Object Oriented Languages (C#, C++, Java...), must have experience using those languages in a professional environment.
· Previous experience working in a VBA environment showing analytical skills in order to quickly implement solutions for front-officers.
· Strong quantitative background
· Broad financial knowledge, you understand and know how to price a wide range of products on different types of underlyings (Equities, rates, commodities... etc)
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in New-York to be a Commando within the Prime brokerage business line is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.
