Environment

Societe Generale opened its Canadian headquarters in Montreal in 1974 to offer its financial services to corporations, financial institutions and governments. The Toronto and Calgary offices were opened in 1978 and 2006 respectively.

We now employe over four hundred people, both in the traditional banking sector (investment banking, funds and trading activities) and in the field of information technology, with the opening of our SG Montreal Solutions Centre subsidiary which, thanks to its geographical location and its cultural diversity, provides computer support and development for the New York and Paris teams.

ITEC/DCC/RCM team is in charge the support for referential and GBIS client lifecycle management applications.

Mission

The main tasks related to the production support analyst role include, but are not limited to:

·  Provide prompt resolution of functional/technical issues and report incidents to the appropriate teams. The user community includes and is not limited to staff from the following functions: front office, middle office, back office, compliance, risk , technology, accounting.
·  Solve technical and functional problems in a complex financial environment, with various applications and architectures at regional or global level.
·  Communicate with users about application failures and issues.
·  Liaise with development teams in Bangalore.
·  Help configure the installation as requested by users and monitoring platforms.
·  Understand the regulatory environment and constraints.
·  Manage queries and requests for data from users.
·  Respond to end users within the time frame given by the severity of the problem, and document and track (case histories, issues and steps) the response.
·  Search for technical processes using sources such as error logs and technical documentation of the product; and identify solutions to solve problems or improve efficiency.
·  Respect internal standards and IT processes.
·  Understand service level agreements and execute crisis management process when relevant.
·  Report project production and status to customer and IT management in a timely manner.
·  Effective and efficient oral and written communication to various audiences at appropriate levels.
·  Partnership with global IT teams (Paris / Asia) to provide quality support to our end users.
·  Effectively manage the customer relationship with the end user community.
·  Understand the flow of applications with upstream and downstream as well as other accounting applications.

Profile

Skills required:

·  Understanding of the notion of information systems.
·  Experience working with databases and UNIX environments.
·  At least 1 year of experience as an application support analyst in a financial environment.
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired / Plus:

·  Ability to coordinate and facilitate project execution and delivery commitment with other teams under different operational time zones.
·  Good ability to analyze, solve and monitor problems.
·  Good organizational and priority skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Technical skills Required:

·  2 years in SQL (Oracle, MSSQL).
·  2 years in Unix, Linux server environment

Education Required:

·  Bachelor of Computers Science or other related university degree

Languages Required:

·  English et French.
