At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Global Finance entity of SG Corporate and Investment Banking. We provide our issuer clients (corporates, financial institutions, public sector) with capital raising solutions, along with structured financing and commodities, forex and interest rate hedging. Description of the Business Line or Department

LNG Shipping & Offshore is the London based team of the Shipping business line. The team has a global remit, providing advisory and lending services to companies involved in the LNG shipping segment as well as Offshore (in particular in the floating oil/gas production and drilling sectors).
The team works on financing solutions including term loans, project bonds, interest rate derivatives and export credit agency backed financings on a recourse and non-recourse basis.

Summary of the key purposes of the role

Support deal leaders and other team members on new transaction origination and assessment
Assist in obtaining internal support and approvals for new deals
Provide support during deal execution
Help monitor existing transactions in our portfolio and address waivers and reviews
Provision of team related information to business line management for reporting and monitoring purposes

Summary of responsibilities

Help produce powerpoint presentations for marketing meetings / pitches
Undertake research on new clients, projects or updates for client meetings
Know your customer checks (KYC)
Running profitability and regulatory capital models for new transactions
Helping produce credit applications for new transactions (in particular sections on loan-to-value, company summaries etc)
Review documentation during execution of new deals and ensure drafting meets required standards, conditions and SG policies
Assist in closing processes, including checking condition precedent, working with closing team and hand-over to middle office
Help draft information memorandums for arranging roles
Build and/or review/audit financial models for transaction or client assessment
Maintain portfolio database with individual transaction details
Provide team related information to COO, EMO and business line management
Work with RISQ to address ongoing waivers and transaction reviews

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.

Graduate with a Master degree from Business school or University, majoring in Finance.

A previous experience in Investment Banking and/or accounting experience would be appreciated.

You are fluent in English.
