Description of the Business Line or Department
Part of the IT infrastructure group of Societe Generale, the ambition of GTS(Global Technology Services) for 2020 is to become an hybrid and multi-provider Cloud integrator and to fully automate and expose services though API and portals. To provide seamless security by design, focusing on critical assets and data protection, to value our data within Big Data and A.I. to enhance resiliency and production stability. GTS provides also a smart and virtualized workplace thanks to innovation and selfcare.

The candidate will be involved in IT infrastructure activities.
The candidate will be part of a team based in London; responsibilities might encompass other SG European offices.
The candidate will be required to liaise with central team based in Paris

Your role
Summary of the key purposes of the role
Business Analyst:
Meet business to understand requirements and transform them into IT infrastructure deliverables.
Business lines can be from any part of the bank like SGCIB, SGSS, PRIV, Safe…
Liaise with the different streams of the program/project to ensure clients requirements are prioritized within the streams.
Subjects can be functional, technical and organizational
Project Manager:
Work within the RESG/GTS/RAM team to deliver client/business and internal projects in the UK
Create all projects/sub-projects according to client’s requirements
Run projects from other teams within GTS UK on an ad-hoc basis
Required to work on IT infrastructure project
Summary of responsibilities
To apply best industry practice project management techniques to deliver the project to quality, cost and time.
To ensure that the project team has the necessary skills and resources available to deliver the projects.
To provide full, accurate, timely reports on the financial status and progress of the projects to the Project Management Office and Project Sponsors.
To produce project plans according to the best information available which take account of the commercial and technical risks, identify the resources required and demonstrate achievable project timescales and costs, and to agree these with the Project Sponsor.
To identify and manage risks within the Projects.
To ensure that all necessary elements of the project are properly estimated by the appropriate responsible person.
To manage the production of all project deliverables to ensure the successful completion of the project through to acceptance and implementation and, where appropriate, to manage the development or acquisition of systems to meet the agreed customer requirements.
To deliver technical solutions which are in line with GTS Policies and Standards.
To plan projects and optimize resource utilization in order to manage workload peaks and troughs within projects.
To monitor overall progress and use of resources and report project performance against budget and plan to the Project Sponsor and the PMO.
To initiate corrective action within the project where cost, timescales or quality is being compromised.
To provide input into cost estimates and proposals that take account of the commercial and technical risks and accurately identify the processes, time, skills, assets and other resources required.
To take on other project duties as may be necessary or as directed.
To ensure the accurate and timely completion of time sheets on the time recording system
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.
Your profile
Graduate with a Master degree from Engineering School or University, majoring in IT.
A previous experience in Investment Banking would be appreciated.
You are fluent in English.
You are proficient in Office application.
ITIL desirable
PMLC or equivalent, Prince2 or PMI are preferable
