At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Finance division of Global Banking & Investors Solutions (GBIS), one of the three pillars of SG that brings together Corporate and Investment Banking activities, Private Banking activities, Asset Management and Investor Services.
Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) in the UK is a business line of Societe Generale London Branch.
SGSS is a pan European providers which offers a full range of securities services:
- Custody & Trustee services
- Fund Administration & Asset Servicing
- Fund Distribution, liquidity Management, Issuer Services & Clearing services
Your role
Summary of the key purposes of the role
The role will involve:
- Leading the project management during on-boarding (planning, execution, migration with both internal and client teams) or during client projects post on boarding
- Managing external and internal stakeholders and run the client projects governance to report on-boarding progress, delivery status, issues and risks
- Completing some level of business analysis if required specifically
Summary of responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage of client on-boarding activities or client projects post on boarding (detailed plan, risk, issues and action logs) across SGSS business lines and support functions
- Lead the project management and work alongside subject matter experts (SMEs)
- Manage risks and issues and escalate to appropriate management level when necessary
- Work to tight deadlines and provide regular progress updates against agreed milestones
- Ensure that appropriate standards are met for all analysis methodologies, documentation and compliance requirements
- Prepare and organise meetings (internal and external), arrange conference calls, workshops & events.
- Contribute to implement new products/solutions

- Ensure that appropriate standards are met for all analysis methodologies, documentation and compliance requirements
- Record and monitor actions and update progress/priority reports as required. An element of formal project management and planning will be required.
- Work in line with overall project methodology objectives and standards
Your profile
Graduate with a Master’s degree from Business/Engineering School or University in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Project Management.
You ideally have a previous experience in a bank or financial institution.
You are fluent in English. French is a plus.
You have good command of MS Office applications.
- Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering projects
- A client-focused approach with excellent communication skills
- The ability to manage your own workload, prioritising and planning where needed
- Ability to identify high priority versus low priority requirements
- Solutions orientated with a constructive approach
- Experience in projects implementing technical changes AND organisational/workflow change
- Exposure to working with geographically distributed teams – both the project team and stakeholder groups
- Excellent team worker, able to work in virtual global teams in a matrix organization
- Ability to work in fast paced environment and deal with a sudden change in priorities
- Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to/from team members
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (written/verbal)
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see
