Your environment
Societe Generale Global Transaction Banking (GTB) includes Payment & Cash Management (PCM), Cash Clearing services (BAN), Trade Finance services (TRA), Factoring and Supply Chain Finance (CGA) as well as the FX services associated to these activities.

Part of the GTB, the Divisional Financial Officer will be mainly responsible for follow up of the financial performances of PCM London desk.
Your role
Under the responsibility of the Business Manager:
- Elaboration of the monthly P&L.
- Monitor PDMS (Management / financial driving tool).
- Set up of different indicator’s tools and follow-up of these indicators on a monthly basis in order to give business development or orientation recommendations.
- Participation in projects impacting financial reporting.
- With the Business Manager, create tools and investigate to enhance Sales/Middle-Office day-to-day processes.
- Risk control & Permanent Supervision.
- Update of Procedures
Summary of responsibilities
Elaboration of the monthly P&L.
- Set up the P&L for PCM and TRA and be align with PCM/DIR figures.
- Monitor PDMS (Management / financial tool).
- Work with the local business manager to enhance day-to-day processes.
- Monitor income and expenses trend during the year.
- Monitor internal and external invoicing from inception to accounting.
- Book accruals.
- Prepare detailed comments on activity reports.
- Budget forecast for the following year.
Set up of different indicator’s tools and follow-up of these indicators on a monthly basis in order to give business development or orientation recommendations.
This project includes:
- NBI charts and follow-up.
- Set up the Sales portfolio.(NBI and transaction volumes)
- Client profitability report analysis.
- Follow-up of volumes of transactions.
- Cross-feed CRM database and core banking data system to ensure accuracy.
Risk control & Permanent Supervision.
- Permanent Supervision: Review and input of Monthly & Quarterly comments
- Help with audit requirements.
Update of DFO procedures.
- Draft and update of DFO procedures.
Your profile
- Master's degree from Business/Engineering School or University. (Finance or Accounting major)
- MS Office: Expert level of Excel & Access (Visual Basic + SQL) / Power point and Word.
- Banking knowledge (and transaction banking)
- Fluent in both French and English.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to multi-task.
- Work autonomously under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Work under your own initiative.
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.
