Your environment
At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Global Markets division (MARK) of SG Corporate and Investment Banking. MARK offers a cross-asset approach along all its offerings : Research, Investment & Risk Management Solutions, Execution and Prime Services to asset managers, pension funds, companies, private banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, family offices, sovereign funds and distributors worldwide.
Your role
The candidate will be part of the COO office. The COO Office is responsible for supporting business line Heads and facilitating business activity, acting as a contact point between Front Office and Support functions.
The candidate will be working with the Sales Efficiency team. He will be based on the trading floor with daily interaction with Heads of desk and Sales teams.
The scope of the function covers Sales Fixed Income & Currencies activities worldwide. The position is based in SG Investment Banking Branch in London.
Summary of the key purposes of the role
The COO assistant is to monitor the sales activity within FIC, inform management on a regular basis & ensure data quality.
Also expected is the test, demonstration & improvement of the digital tools designed for the sales population.
The role mainly consists of assisting the Sales Efficiency team on the following tasks:
Sales Performance Monitoring: Monitoring quality of reporting tools for Sales persons and Management; Investigate and resolve reporting issues in conjunction with IT and Middle Office;
Conducting ad hoc studies on commercial performance in a given country, client sector etc.;
Supporting the COO team on ad-hoc tasks and projects.

Ensure data quality & remediate with IT functions if needed
Assist in design, tests & promotion of the digital tools for the sales population
Assist in ad-hoc studies of the commercial revenues
Involved in the design of the commercial strategy

Your profile
Graduate with a Master’s degree from Business/Engineering School or University in Mathematics/ Finance
You ideally have a previous experience in a bank or financial institution.
You are fluent in English and French. You have good command of MS Office applications
Affinity for mathematics & financial markets
Ability to synthetize
Ability to identify pattern & exceptions
Responsibility & Understanding of ‘Need to know’ principle
R/Python appreciated
A pro-active approach to work is key

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
