Job description

Marketing
• Coordinate the distribution of Festival promotional materials to venues and partners as required.
• List Tour events on key ‘What’s On’ sites.
• Liaise with local clubs and groups to raise awareness of the tours.
• Contribute to social media promotional activity (eg. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).
• Assist in maintaining and updating website content.

Volunteer Co-ordination
• Assess applications from potential volunteers and work with Tour Co-ordinator to select volunteers.
• Generate tour information in a variety of formats to enable volunteers to promote the tour through a variety of forums including social media and email.
• Communicate relevant tour information to volunteers to enable them to promote the tour.
• Coordinate the dispatch of promotional materials to volunteers.
• Communicate volunteer roles and responsibilities prior to screening events and respond to any questions and concerns.

Ticketing
• Assist Tour Coordinator to monitor ticket sales and identify the need for further marketing activities.
• Liaise with venues and ticket selling outlets to monitor ticket availability.

Screenings- there will be an opportunity to attend some screenings. At the screenings attended, duties would include:
• Assist with loading in/out duties and technical set up of venue.
• Assist with ‘look and feel’ of the front of house area and Tour branding in the auditorium.
• Assist with co-ordination of volunteers at the venue.

Other tasks
• Assist with financial record keeping (no previous experience required).
• Monitor website for accuracy and identify information that needs to be updated.
• Assist with day to day office management and Tour logistics.

Person description
We are looking for a creative, articulate, and enthusiastic individual. Particularly important to this role is the ability to learn quickly and to have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Essential
The ideal candidate should be:
• A self-starter, capable of working independently and coordinating with colleagues remotely.
• Hands-on and adaptable, ready to undertake a wide variety of tasks as the need arises.
• Highly organised - capable of multi-tasking and managing their own projects and initiatives, as well as working effectively in a team environment.
• Technically literate - comfortable using (or willing to learn to use) a variety of Microsoft Office and web-based platforms and services (e.g. Word, Excel, Wordpress, etc).
• Ability to communicate effectively and represent Snowline Media events to a variety of organisations, individuals and the public.

Desirable
• Marketing or public relations experience.
• Previous experience with events or working with the public.
• Enthusiasm for the “outdoors” and adventure films (in order to understand the needs of our audience and partners) would be an advantage.

Job Details and Timings:
Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire - some remote/flexible working may be possible
Start date: Early January 2017
Duration: 6 month contract - with potential opportunity for contract extension
Timings: 2-3 days per week with an option to work more days per week during January if this suits the chosen candidate (but not essential).
Salary: Competitive
