Hair Stylist Trainee

Job description

We are looking for apprentices who look for professional training while learning at school or as a trainee after the school term, Level 2 Diploma in Hair Services

DESCRIPTION
The main focus in the Salon is to work with managers and hairdressers to provide high-quality service and support for clients visiting the salon.

Duties (not limited to):
▪ Undertaking regular maintenance tasks to facilitate the hairstylists work station such as sweeping the floor, helping arrange the trolleys, clean the brushes, Clean product shelves, etc
▪ Assisting the hairstylists in their duties
▪ Helping to provide refreshments to clients and visitors
▪ Gowning up and preparing clients prior to treatment
▪ Shampooing and applying conditioner treatments
▪ Blow drying hair under supervision when requested
▪ Preparing equipment and materials for hairdressers use
▪ Re-filling stocks of frequently used materials
▪ Helping to maintain a safe working environment
▪ Tidying up and maintaining the image of the salon
▪ Fully endorsing the products and services of the salon
▪ Participating in periodic work performance reviews
▪ Assisting in the general security of the salon
▪ Helping prepare the salon to receive clients
▪ Attend exceptionally

▪ Act as a SMUK London Ambassador at all time
▪ Being a team player and a serviceable attitude
▪ Hard-working and willing to learn through action/ earnest attitude
▪ A discreet attitude with regards to the Studio
▪ Attending all scheduled training sessions
▪ Following instructions and learning each new subject
▪ Help find suitable training models when requested
▪ Completing all project work and tests set by trainers
▪ Keeping safe all records of assessment
▪ Participating in periodic formal training reviews
▪ A Can-do Attitude and a high work ethic
▪ Acting as an ambassador of the salon at all times
▪ Maintaining a suitably fashionable personal image
▪ 40h/week work
▪ Endearing attitude at all-time in the salon and a strong sense of customer centricity
