Vertical Sales Enterprise Account Executive for Life Sciences
Siemens Digital Industries is looking for an experienced Enterprise Account Executive for the Life Sciences Industry to identify and develop customer opportunities into successful solutions. The Life Sciences Vertical is a growing and dynamic team that delivers solutions, products, and services for customers aspiring to produce state-of-the-art medicines and to bring them to market faster.
The successful candidate will be able to pair industry knowledge with an advanced automation and digitalization centric portfolio of solutions, to drive sales, establish customer preference and to win specifications for Siemens in named national accounts in the Life Sciences market. In addition, the Account Executive will be tasked with identifying and developing new customer logos. Furthermore, the role will be responsible for working in a matrix organization, coordination with other groups including portfolio specialists, engineering, and the global Life Sciences community, so to support the Life Sciences ecosystem in the most effective manner. The job will be measured on portfolio growth, customer pipeline development and new customer conversions. The position reports to the Head of Vertical Sales for Life Sciences in the United States.
Vertical Sales Enterprise Account Executive for Life Sciences
This position will reside in the continental US (Hybrid).
Role Description
- Develop customer relationships, strategic account plans and be responsible for meeting sales revenue for the assigned accounts.
- Identify new customers logos and establish an install base.
- Understand customer’s business processes and drivers and develop strategic account plan to support the digital transformation journey of the account.
- Build and maintain customer relationships on senior management level through extensive personal customer engagement.
- Build and lead collaboration with the external Life Sciences ecosystem by engaging with system integrators and EPCs to maximize support and portfolio coverage at the end customer.
- Build and lead collaboration with internal ecosystem consisting for Vertical Market, System Engineering, Business Unit SMEs and OEM, Partner, and Territory-sales.
- Engage in industry associations (e.g., ISPE, BioPhorum), working groups, etc. to develop domain expertise and represent Siemens as thought leader in the industry.
- Provide transparency on account reporting, forecasting, and planning activities.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical/electrical/computer engineering or computer science.
- 8+ years of experience and broad knowledge of the Industrial IT/OT and manufacturing environment and its key applications in the Life Sciences industry. Along with a successful track record in Account Management or equivalent role representing a similar breadth of industrial portfolio.
- 8 + years Proven track record of success in operating with multiple channels to market, including direct sales, distributors, system integrators, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing processes (e.g., upstream, downstream, fill and finish, ballroom concepts, etc.)
- 2+ years Pharmaceutical Knowledge – e.g., validation, industry standards (S95, S88), IT/OT integration concepts, relevant digital applications
- 2+ years’ experience in MES and DCS programming

- The pay range for this position is $97,100.00 to $166,600.00 and the annual incentive target is 42% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
